Ok so I can't believe I had that much fun in Kansas City!
I really love it there. The Michelaks the Wedekins, the Roggows, the Donnenworths!
That's right, I got to hang out with Kim Donnenworth and her sister Amy. (And their whole church for that matter.)
Kim D (you may remember her from Verity in 2003) and her sister, Amy, were musicians at the wedding Saturday!
So Sunday they picked me up and I not only got to visit their church., but I got to teach children's church! WOO HOO! Talk about getting back in the swing of things, it was so much fun! I can't believe it's been so long...
At the church picnic (yeah!) we chucked around a couple of footballs and played speed volleyball! It was amazing!
Great food, fellowship... I couldn't have asked for more and really... I mean that. I met a man from Ethiopia and a man from Mexico... and spent most of the day in the sun. Evening worship service with people my age... it was just a dream Sunday. Thanks Kim and Amy... that was just too cool. Oh and it didn't stop there, we went to Sonic and then downloaded wedding pictures...

Monday was perfect too, after catching up with my weekends messages... I went with Kim, Abby and Alex to Chi-potle!!! Then Abby took me to the Airport. Great weekend and yeah, Matt was great and Sarah was beautiful... there were some nifty pictures. ;)

I asked a groom the night before a wedding, how he felt. He responded by asking me if I ever felt like I had no earthly clue what I was doing. I didn't want him to worry about my confidence as a photographer but I wanted to empathize with him. I had felt that way before. I answered that something this big and real could be a bit scary. He smiled. I asked him "Was it as scary a thought as having to live the rest of your life with your heart yelling at you for not marrying the one girl you really love?" If not her, than who? He shook his head. Nobody? Then going through with this isn't as scary as not going through with this. "Yeah." He said.

Today my friend Matt is getting married to his sweetheart, Sarah.
Everyone is here and I can't wait to get started. It seems everyones getting married these days, but then again... wedding photographers should always feel that trend. It's goin down!
